Where does the time go??

Goodness it's been quite a while since I've posted! We have been so busy lately, there just are never enough hours in the day.... I know many of you out there have been griping at me to post some new pics, but I have been very bad and haven't even taken any since Christmas. Never fear though, with Easter being on Sunday I will have a new set of incredibly cute pics to upload very soon.

Anyway, what's Emery been up to these days? Well, with Spring in full swing we have been outside ALOT. He is loving playing with his tractors in the dirt, digging holes and investigating all of the bugs crawling around in the soil. Balls are still number one, with one of his favorite things being throwing them onto the roof and watching them come back down again. He's got quite the arm, he has no trouble getting the tennis balls up there anymore. He's still working on getting the trajectory right, but he's surpassing his mother with the pitches (not that that is really saying alot, but he really is getting quite good).

It's great to see how his mind works and puts the world together. A few weeks ago we were getting out of the car one night when a full moon was out. This was our conversation-
Emery: "The moon is way high!"
Mom: "Yes it is, the moon is very high"
Emery: "It's way high in the sky!"
Mom: "Yes it is!"
Emery: "It's way high, can't reach it!"
Mom: "Yes, it is very far away."
Emery: "It's way high, need a ladder to reach it!"
Mom: "That would have to be a very long ladder honey, I don't think they can make one that
high."
Emery: "That's ok Mommy. That's ok..."

You know that he spends much of the time with me- he is sure that everything can be fixed with one of two things. The first item is tape- duct tape to be specific. If something is broken he'll even go grab it and bring the broken object with the duct tape for me to fix- what a considerate guy. The second thing is batteries. If I say we don't have any batteries to fix it he insists that we go to the store to get some more.

My favorite thing that he has done lately happened a couple of days ago. We were getting ready for our day, doing the diaper change and dressing thing, when he turned to me, planted three very sweet kisses on me and said "I love you Mommy". That moment made up for all of the frustrating, annoying things he has ever done (even the other day when he shit in the tub and kicked it around into a million chunks- ALL OVER THE PLACE. Wish I could have called in the disaster clean-up specialists on that one....). :)
