Happy Easter!

Hi all! I finally have a few minutes to give everyone a quick update on what's been going on in our happy little family! Rob and Kara's visit was a blast. They got to fall in love with super cute Emery all over again and a good time was had by all. I got the opportunity to go out and whoop it up a bit. Adam didn't get home from his play until about 11:30 so we didn't get much time in the bars, but that turned out to be a blessing. At just about the time when we started to feel really good it was last call. We bought a disposable camera and asked miscellaneous people on Broadway to take our picture- it was quite fun. I'll post some of those when I get a chance. We all managed to stumble home without anyone even needing to be carried :).

Grannie Annie also got to make a quick visit this weekend. It was great to have her here to get to know Emery a little better and was a huge help with things around the house. And I got to get out of the house again and went to see Adam's play (which was excellent by the way :) ). I have a couple of good pics from her stay as well that I will post as soon as I am able.

The month of March has been pretty hectic with visitors and we are looking forward to getting settled down a bit before the next onslaught. Adam is getting laid off next Wednesday and I will be back to a 5 day work week- yippee!! So Adam gets to play Mr. Mom for awhile while he works to get that elusive teaching job. All in all I think the new schedule is going to be an improvement for all!

Well, gotta go catch some grub so I'll try to write more later! Bye for now!

Still working on those photos!!!

Alright, the link to snapfish obviously didn't work- gggrrrrr!!! I keep looking at the pictures on the blog and think "he's so much bigger now!! I MUST get some pictures posted soon!!". Well, I'm still working on it. Until then I will email out a link to the snapfish albums directly to email accounts so keep a look out! If you don't get an email from me that means I don't have your email or didn't have time to type in the 50 email addresses to get it out to everyone, so just post a comment that you would like to look at the albums and I will get on it as soon as possible. I will try to get this done in the next day or two...

Emery is doing just great. Everyone comments on what a mellow happy baby he is which makes me even more proud!! I totally jinxed myself though on the sleeping through the night thing- he's pretty much wanting that 3am feeding all the time again. Oh well, it just gives me more time to snuggle with my favorite human being.... I'm beginning to wonder if my milk is still enough for him. He's needing more and more milk, and with working it is hard to feed him more frequently. I think we're going to start to supplement with formula soon. I've considered trying him out on cereal as well and will probably give that a try soon. The doctor said that its up to us on weather we want to go with formula or straight to cereal. I have just gotten over feeling guilty about not being able to produce enough milk to keep him happy so I'm just beginning to consider the options. It's been a real trial trying to keep enough milk for him. My schedule's a little too grueling to support the amount of milk production that he needs right now. Oh well, we do what we can!!! Anyway, any advise from all you mommy's out there is greatly appreciated!!

I think I have the most slobbery kid ever!! When you all finally see the latest pictures of Emery you will notice that most of them show the little guy in a bib. We've pretty much had to have him in a bib constantly since he was 3 months old. It's either that or change his clothes 50 times a day!! And just when I think he can't possibly slobber any more, the next week he's producing even more!!! In one day he can completely soak EVERY ONE of his 12 bibs- no kidding!! And he's not even teething yet!! I've found that the bibs with the plastic backs are invaluable!!!

This weekend Uncle Bobby and Auntie Kara are coming for a visit!!! I am sooooo excited!!! I get to go out and hang out with adults, and I don't even have to go to work to do it!! I am finally ready to get out for a night and do stupid adult stuff like go to smokey bars and drink myself silly until Rob and Kara have to carry me home (although the jury's still out on just who is going to carry who home...)! I'll keep you all posted on how it all goes!

Still trying to post pictures!

Alright, I've had it. Hello (the program which uploads the pictures to the blog) still isn't working for me. After I don't know how many reinstalls I am giving up on it for now, but am still determined for all of you out there to see the newest pics of my beautiful son. I uploaded some photos that all of you may view through snapfish, just follow the link-http://www.snapfish.com/shareereg/p=744121110687003462/l=43868868/cobrandOid=1000131/otsc=SYE/otsi=SALB/t_=0/pns/share/p=744121110687003462/l=43868868/cobrandOid=1000131/otsc=SYE/otsi=SALB/t_=0

Emery had his 4 month well baby check this week. He weighed in at 17lb 9oz and is 26 inches long now. Dr McKee said he looked great and that our child does not have a flat head and would not have to be a "helmet baby". I was glad to hear it, now maybe Adam will stop obsessing about it :)!! Emery also got his 2nd round of shots and took it like a champ. Two pokes in one leg and three in the other and he didn't even cry for a full minute. By the time we got home he was back to his smiley gooing self- what a champ!

As for Mom and Dad, well things have been hectic for both of us. Adam's latest play started last night. He's playing Oblonsky in a rendition of Tolstoy's Anna Karenin. I just read the book myself while I was pregnant and am excited to see it! I've been super busy with work, kid and house stuff. I have been so busy in fact that I hadn't even noticed that I had lost all my pregnancy weight and now fit into all of my clothes again. Yesterday I finally fished out all my "skinny clothes" and all of a sudden have a whole new wardrobe!

In other news, the house is almost finished :)!! My mom came for a week and helped to get the last big things done to make the place feel "finished". Adam and I's bedroom still isn't done, but I just don't care anymore. It will get done when it gets done and I'm in no hurry, I'm sick of unpacking and organizing for now! The place really is beginning to feel like home though, we love it.

One more thing. To all of you who I haven't called back, I'm sorry!! It's not that I don't want to, I just never have the time! And when I do it's at say, 5:30 am and I seriously doubt any of you really want to hear from me then. Also I have been going way over on my minutes so I'm trying to keep that in check. Anyway, please forgive me!!!

That's all for now- take care everyone!!
