Fun at the Fair

Although it was gruesomely hot we still managed to have a pretty good time at the fair this year. Emery was a little more excited by the rides this year, but was distracted by the carny games which turned out to be the fast favorite. Gone are the days when he would be more than satisfied with a kiddy pool of grain (although he still enjoyed that), now its all about popping balloons and catching plastic fishes for prizes. The cheap outing to the fair is now officially OVER! Oh well, had to happen....
 
 
 

Summertime Rolls....

Here's some pics of Emery slip n' sliddin' in the back yard. As usual, summer has gone by way too quickly! Fall is just around the corner and Emery is getting super excited for his birthday. Actually he's been excited for it since my birthday in May. I've had to explain that his birthday isn't going to be here until summer has come and gone and the leaves on the trees turn color and fall off the trees. Now every time he sees leaves on the ground he asks if his birthday is almost here. Today he is 2 months, 2 weeks and 2 days away from his 4th birthday, a fact that had him jumping up in down in excitement even though he doesn't really have any concept how long that is. I just love his energy!
